  Parents of Different Spiritual Persuasions

  i escaped the cult many years ago.

  as a result, i have an eye for cultlike thinking, whether in terms of religion, politics, centrist thinking, etc.. last december my fiance and i had a baby.

  I base my opinions on what I see. Who is a decent neighbor? Charity? Strange garb? Isolationism?

  Guess who is found lacking? I just traded comments with a woman I knew from K to high school. I didnt know she was mormon until high school. All i knew was that family had several pretty girls

  As for charity, the dems are tops, with someone elses money

  Is the door to door preaching work not the primary focus anymore?

  a few months back, one of my uncles who was an elder, asked the co, why jehovah would allow the door to door preaching work, to come to an abrupt end.

  this was when my uncle was starting to have serious doubts about the organization.. the co told him to be patient, and hang in there, because the governing body was on top of things and in time would explain what is happening regarding the preaching work.. my uncle asked; “what do you mean?”.

  co said; “focus on the wt study articles in the coming months” .

  ask us anything.. mr. o'donnell gives his assessment of why wt lawyers continue to defend the child sex abuse cases that the organization continues to fight, even though they see firsthand the deception, the lies, the withholding of facts and dirty tactics used in court.

  by an organization that claims to be god's earthly representative, and the only one to hold the truth.

  i’m in no position to leave the organisation, maybe some people will see that as weak or whatever, but we have to all go down our own path in life.. i would like to be able to wake people up in my congregation, how do you think best to do this?

  Hard spot. Giving talks on a lie would be the hardest. I simply was a no show for the old #5 when it was about 1914 right after the new light.

  I am a nobody and am not even asked to help with snow shoveling or chsnge a flat for a widow. Things I could do as a humanitarian.

  Some trade unions give good training and set sr standards of workmanship. Others (teachers, janitors) take money. The other side is many employers are crooked cheapskates too. I was once denied a promotion because of seniority and the man put in didn't have the smarts to learn the math and " feel" for the job.

  I have heard there was a union movement in the factory when Knorr ran it. It got squelched in a hurry.

  so if a man lets say is heterosexual, married and happy but likes to in the privacy of his own home wear women's cloths and his wife is ok with it.

  i know a person could just shut their mouth and who would know but i am talking about jw who is very concerned about telling the truth to the dubbers.

  my guess is it would not be a dfing matter but they would not be a ms or elder.
